Steins;Gate 0 remains a good, emotionally varied ride—funny, sad, tense and romantic—bolstered by White Fox’s solid adaptation, a stellar returning voice cast led by Miyano Mamoru, and Itou Kanako’s rousing opener “Fatima.” Yet it never reaches the nail-biting tension of the first series, swapping much of the sci-fi thriller action for everyday campus melancholy that can leave viewers tangled in its plot threads. Still recommended, especially for fans invested in Okabe’s aftermath. The moment that lingers is episode 22’s background score, igniting both excitement and sorrow in a single sweep.
