Review of Steins;Gate 0

Steins;Gate is quite something. I cannot recall how many times I've watched it and re watched. Again and again. I love the series to bit, it brings me to tears each and every time I watch it. And so, I find Steins;Gate 0 to be a disappointment of monumental terms. Truly, to take something so great that it transcends an entire genre and becomes something else, and it to turn it into another mish-mash lousy sequel is soul crushing. That's not to say that Steins;Gate 0 is a bad anime - far to the contrary, it is excellent attimes, but to be quite frank it should never have happened. It leaves me with a bitter taste. If they had written the middle few episodes better, or if it had just straight up ended on episode 13 it would perhaps fit better but in the current form, I unfortunately find the sequel/prequel/side story that is "0" to be a disgrace to the series. Watch it at your own risk.
