Detroit Metal City is tear-inducingly hilarious, its lunatic death-metal satire delivered in tight, breathless episodes packed with sublime off-the-cuff dialogue and Studio 4c’s kinetic animation. The deranged cast—especially the maniacal fans whose commentary turns every gig into comedy gold—keeps the filthy, risqué humor relentless.
