Review of Detroit Metal City

Go watch it then come back. ....Well then if your are still here, this the review, also it may have some spoilers(go watch it, please): Detroit Metal City is everything that i would haven't expected. From the get go i just though it was weird, but then i saw the first episode and notice how wrong i was. I truly could not stop laughing and not only that but the show its self is completely original in the anime realm. Its pure gold, pure unpolished dirty rich gold. Its filled with really good satire. Story 6 First the story is pretty generic, yet unexpected, as its abouta college graduate who wanted to be come famous singing love songs and ends up being the main singer in a heavy metal band, and has to portray very dreadful yet humorous character. Forced to say and do things that are outlandish, s the main singer, he brings most of the laughter in the series. Also its popular culture shaming its what makes this series so funny.

Well there isn't much to say since is a low budget ova series. It's not impressive in any since, its not memorable in any faction, yet it has its charm and uniqueness that helps with the comedy itself, so overall its fair.

Sound: 9
Well, the music in the series was good and also the voice acting was good. Now i give it a 9 because as a fan of heavy metal and soft music and everything in between i found it amusing and the lyrics of the songs funny. Now if you don't like your favorite genres being made fun off, or if as a musician you believe it wasn't impressive you can lower the score your self, but to me it did great and felt that it was refreshing.

Character: 6

The characters where amusing yet not progressive, if anything static for the most part, except for the MC, as he descends into madness. The MC its complicated individual ans i loves soft pop music and his forced to make dead metal music, which hates, and end up creating a second personality that he uses with the dead metal costume , which in the long wrong causes problems as he starts to blend personalities and such, but i wont say much more. Saying whats about will ruin the comedy.

IT is really fun to watch, the comedy is outstanding, and full of satire. I could not stop laughing, its just comedy genius. Though if it may make some people offended since it just makes fun of pop music cultures and take them to the extreme, which i find amusing, but i know that others wont.

It is a good series, yet it is not with out flaws, which i forgive, since its point is made. Its a fun short series full of satire and crazy characters. Its really worth your time as long as you enjoy good original comedy filled with satire.
