There are so many subtle details and design decisions that made this book an absolute thrill to read. If you have a sick mind and enjoy seeing your nightmares come to life then this will be a book for you. Now to address a couple complaints people have about the book: 1) The story is not for everyone. There is not really a moral to the story, but neither does any of Junji Ito's famous works. The violence and the sexual assault may be a bit for most people, but it was right on the line for me. Any more I would have to stop reading thebook.
2) The robot and the girl's relationship is seen as non-realistic, but I see it as dark humor of what women secretly like when they choose a man as a long term partner.
This book will now go in a dark corner of our bookshelf, because my girlfriend does not want guests to see this book XD
