'Granblue Fantasy' 4-koma Spin-off Manga Gets Anime
An official website for an anime adaptation of Granblue Fantasy's 4-koma spin-off manga Guraburu! opened on Thursday, unveiling its key visual (pictured) and a teaser promotional video. The anime will begin airing this year.
The gag manga, written and drawn by Kikuhitomoji, initially appeared within the smartphone fantasy game in 2014 before being released on Kadokawa's Comic Clear website. Kadokawa began printing the manga the following year and published the eighth volume on November 15 last year.
Mobile application developer Cygames' Granblue Fantasy smartphone game inspired multiple adaptations, including two seasons of TV anime that aired in Spring 2017 and Fall 2019 by A-1 Pictures and MAPPA, respectively.
Commemorating the sixth anniversary of the game, an anime special episode focusing on the "Djeeta Chapter" was released on March 28.
