'Trigun Stargaze' Reveals Additional Cast, Theme Songs, First Promo

The official website of the Trigun Stampede television anime revealed additional cast, theme songs, and first promotional video for its sequel, Trigun Stargaze, on Saturday. The sequel is scheduled to premiere on TV Tokyo Network at 11:00 p.m. on January 10.

Singer-songwriter ano (Takopii no Genzai) is performing the opening theme "Picaresque Hero." Rock band FOMARE (Golden Kamuy 3rd Season) is performing the ending theme "Stardust." Both are previewed in the promotional video below.

Masako Satou (Haikyuu!! To the Top) is helming the sequel at Orange. Kazuyuki Fudeyasu (Isekai Maou to Shoukan Shoujo no Dorei Majutsu) is handling the series composition and script. Kiyotaka Oshiyama (Devilman: Crybaby) is designing the characters and Tatsuya Katou (Needless) is composing the music.

Produced by Orange, Trigun Stampede, a reboot of the original 1998 anime based on Yasuhiro Nightow's action comedy manga aired in 12 episodes in Winter 2023. Crunchyroll streamed the anime with subs and dubs in multiple languages.

Nightow originally began drawing the manga as a one-shot in Shounen Captain in February 1995 and began its regular serialization in March 1995. Following the magazine's discontinuation in January 1997, the manga went on hiatus. Tokuma Shoten published the third volume in January 1999. Shounen Gahousha re-published the manga in two volumes in June 20.

Nightow serialized the Trigun Maximum sequel manga in Young King OURs from October 1997 to March 2007. Shounen Gahousha published the 14th and final volume in February 2008.
