New 'Evangelion' Anime Series Announced

The final program of the Evangelion: 30+; 30th Anniversary of Evangelion event announced a new anime series for the franchise on Monday, revealing the main staff and an announcement promo.

Produced by Gainax and Tatsunoko Production, Shinseiki Evangelion (Neon Genesis Evangelion) aired in 26 episodes from Fall 1995 to Spring 1996

The Shinseiki Evangelion: Air/Magokoro wo, Kimi ni (Neon Genesis Evangelion: The End of Evangelion) movie premiered in July 1997, providing an alternate ending to the television anime.

Khara produced Rebuild of Evangelion between September 2007 and March 2021, a four-movie series retelling of the story with new plot elements and a different ending.
