Synopsis

Countryside Inkling Hit befriends city girl Maika and rich Kou in trendy Haikara City adventures.

The coolest squid kids live in Haikara City—or at least that is what Hit thinks. Moving from the countryside, Hit enters Haikara Square in hopes of following the trends and having fun. There, he meets Maika, an Inkling city girl who he tries to help recover her lost items, only to mess up in the process. From then on, the two Inklings spend their time together doing popular activities around the city, with plenty of Hit's random reactions and Maika's occasional mishandling of Turf Battle weapons along the way. Joining their adventures is the rich Inkling boy Kou, who works in Salmon Runs part-time. With these three around, life in Haikara is never boring!
