Synopsis

Three kids race bikes through fantasy worlds to win emblems and return home from the mysterious X Zone.

Sho Yamato is a fifth grader who is crazy about mountain biking. While participating in a bike race, together with his classmates Makoto Shido and Kakeru Sakamaki, he jumps into an unknown other world called the "X Zone". In order to return to their original world, they must race against tough opponents in various settings including a volcano, a ghost town, a desert, a snow covered mountain and a cemetery. This series of bike races is called the Idaten Battles. They must keep winning and collect ten emblems. The threesome, through the long journey, experiences numerous encounters and partings with people. What do they go through and how do they develop? Would they ever be able to go back to safely their original world? (Source: Production I.G. official Website)
