Anoko ni Moratta Ongaku

Umeko, born to a German father and Japanese mother who was a geisha, loses her mother at the age of three. She is lovingly adopted by her mother's best friend, the owner of the Umeki inn, and raised as their own child alongside their son Kuranosuke. Kuranosuke, once a gifted pianist with a promising future, faces a life-altering event that forces him to abandon his musical dreams. Now working as a part-time music instructor at a university while giving private lessons, he finds new purpose in his life. The story follows these two childhood companions who have grown up like siblings, as they navigate life's challenges together. Set against the backdrop of the traditional Umeki inn, their journey explores themes of family, love, and finding one's path in life, surrounded by the warmth of inn guests, students, and musical friends who become part of their extended family.
