In a near-future world, humanity faces a new threat: digital viruses known as "Oracles" that transform infected individuals into beings resembling creatures from ancient legends and myths. Those afflicted, called "Fectors," have begun to pose unprecedented dangers to society. To combat this crisis, scientists developed a unique vaccine with an unusual side effect—granting recipients the temporary ability to manifest traits of animals or insects. Sogami Eiri, an ordinary high school student, finds his peaceful life disrupted when his childhood friend—who vanished years ago—suddenly reappears. Their reunion coincides with a mysterious incident involving the Fectors, drawing Eiri into a hidden conflict that exists beneath the surface of everyday life.
