Synopsis
Tomboy Akira, rejected after confessing to Haru, cuts her hair and becomes "Prince Akira" in high school.
Akira Tsubakiya has spent her whole life being told she looks like a boy. She's super tall, has a flat chest, and isn't girly at all. In middle school, she made a promise with a boy from her cram school, Haru - they would both aim to get into the same prestigious high school. Inspired by Haru's comment that he likes girls with long hair, Akira grew her hair out as she began to develop feelings for him. Now graduating from middle school, Akira decides to confess her feelings to Haru, but things don't go as planned. Heartbroken, she returns home and cuts off all her hair, deciding to stop trying to fit into a girly mold. Fast forward to Akira's first year in high school. She still wears a skirt but pairs it with the boys' uniform top, earning her the nickname "Prince Akira" and making her the object of many girls' admiration. As she navigates her new school life, Akira finds herself encountering unexpected situations and people from her past, leading to new discoveries about herself and others around her.
