Despite his impressive Olympic-level figure skating career, Dan Yi-rim has always considered himself defective. His pheromones do not give off a scent, even though he is an omega—a secondary sex defined by the ability to give birth and attract the socially superior alphas with their pheromones during a "heat cycle." When Yi-rim suddenly becomes lightheaded and falls into a river, he is saved by Yeom Cheong-ho, a professional swimmer.
