Twenty-four-year-old Ryou Kakitani is proud to have achieved his goal of being a full-time writer, but his personal life has been stuck in a rut. For companionship, he relies solely on Suou Hiroki, his childhood best friend and roommate for the past six years. Ryou hides that he is hopelessly in love with Suou, afraid that revealing this will jeopardize his most treasured friendship. However, he is growing increasingly frustrated with Suou's mixed signals over the years, from sneaking intimate caresses to avoiding meaningful conversations. As Ryou wrestles with whether to act on his feelings, he begins to realize he must take a risk—or accept that their relationship will never evolve.
