A small village deep in the mountains of Shikoku. There, a strange Buddha statue is enshrined. Hayato comes from Tokyo to the village to accompany his friend Takumi on a trip back home, but he feels something is off about the villagers' strange cold demeanor... Takumi's grandmother warmly welcomes him, and in the middle of a peaceful dinner, the moment she says "you have brought the Buddha closer," Takumi's face changes color and disappears that night.
