Touch within the Abyss
君の夜に触れる
Synopsis
Haunted assassin Chinatsu finds redemption through friendship with blind boy Kasumi, healing past failures with kindness and connection.
Chinatsu was raised from childhood to follow in his family's footsteps as a professional assassin, trained in deadly arts that left little room for anything else in life. Haunted by a past failure that weighs heavily on his conscience, he finds himself unable to complete his assignments, paralyzed by something that happened years ago. While wandering the streets in a moment of vulnerability, Chinatsu crosses paths with Kasumi, a blind boy whose gentle spirit and unwavering kindness offer something the assassin has never known. When Chinatsu helps recover something precious to Kasumi, their lives become unexpectedly intertwined. Kasumi, who lives with his family in a traditional Japanese inn, sees in Chinatsu a kindred spirit despite their vastly different worlds. As their unlikely friendship begins to blossom, Chinatsu discovers that the boy's compassionate nature might be the key to confronting the darkness that has consumed him for so long. In the quiet moments shared between an emotionally wounded assassin and a boy who sees the world differently, both may find that connection can heal even the deepest scars.
