On a seemingly ordinary morning, high school student Makaji Sahara's life takes an unexpected turn at a busy street crossing. In the aftermath, his classmates struggle to process their loss, each expressing their grief in different ways—from tears to silence to quiet prayers. However, death has not severed Sahara's connection to the world of the living. As a spirit, he finds himself bound to the place where his journey changed forever, accompanied by another young soul who has lingered at the same intersection for years. From his new perspective, Sahara observes the lives he left behind and the people who meant the most to him. As he watches over his classmates and tries to come to terms with his new existence, Sahara begins to realize that the circumstances surrounding his fate may be more complex than anyone realizes. With the mysterious young spirit as his only companion, he must navigate the challenges of the afterlife while seeking understanding about what truly happened that day.
