The Dragon's Betrothed
神様のウロコ
Synopsis
Author Chiharu returns home to find a water god claiming an arranged marriage promise made by his grandmother, leading to unexpected bonding.
Upon his return to his rural hometown, writer's-block-stricken author Chiharu Izunome meets Rin, an eccentric young man looking for his wife-to-be, whom he met once long ago. However, little does he know that Rin is actually a draconic water god; and that just like a local legend, Chiharu's grandmother had promised Rin her grandson's hand in marriage in exchange for a wish. Chiharu, however, has no interest in an arranged marriage with a god—especially not a male one. While Rin forcefully invites himself into Chiharu's home and does his best to become the ideal husband, Chiharu looks for any way he can get rid of the god—even if it means calling an exorcist. As the two continue to live with one another, though, they gradually form a bond far beyond that of the simple promise that brought them together.
