Devilman follows Akira Fudo, a gentle and reserved teenager whose life takes a dramatic turn after a fateful encounter in the Himalayas. Following a mysterious incident during a mountain expedition, Akira finds himself fundamentally changed when a powerful demonic entity known as Devilman merges with his human soul. Now possessing incredible demonic powers while retaining his human heart, Akira struggles to reconcile his newfound identity. He discovers that Earth faces a hidden threat from malevolent forces seeking to plunge humanity into chaos. Torn between his demonic nature and human compassion, Akira chooses to stand as humanity's unlikely guardian. As Devilman, Akira must navigate the treacherous conflict between the human world he wishes to protect and the demonic realm from which he draws his power. Along the way, he forms deep bonds with those around him, particularly his childhood friend Miki Makimura, whose presence becomes a crucial anchor to his humanity.
