Synopsis
Adults write letters to their past selves, hoping to change regrets and reshape their teenage lives.
Twenty-six-year-old Hiroto Suwa; his wife, Naho; and their old high school classmates—Takako Chino, Azusa Murasaka, and Saku Hagita—visit Mt. Koubou to view the cherry blossoms together. While watching the setting sun, they reminisce about their high school days and a dear friend from their past. As they share memories and reflect on the paths their lives have taken, they find themselves thinking about the choices they made as teenagers and the weight of regrets that have lingered over the years. In an attempt to find peace and perhaps change what once was, they decide to write letters to their 16-year-old past selves. These letters contain the wisdom and experiences they've gained over the years, offering their younger selves guidance and insight. With this unexpected second chance, 16-year-old Suwa and his friends must decide how to use the knowledge from their future selves. What decisions will they make differently? How will these new choices reshape their lives and relationships?
