As an affiliated company of Tokyo Movie (now know as TMS Entertainment), Telecom Animation Film, Co., Ltd was established on May 19, 1975 for the purpose of producing full-length animated theatrical films. Top class animators such as Miyazaki Hayao, Takahata Isao and Ootsuka Yasuo joined the company and established the Golden Age of Japanese animation industry. Ootsuka Yasuo still works at Telecom as a supervisor as well as the Juku Master of Anime Juku and developing the young animators that leads the next generation. Telecom is now thriving with topnotch veteran animators, such as Tomonaga Kazuhide, Tomizawa Nobuo, Masuda Toshihiko, and Yano Yuichiro, taking the lead of production and continuously sending out top quality animation works. Telecom has a reputation for its delicate and heartwarming style of animation that would be produced in the studio where the developments, animation, ink & paint and filming can all be done in a single place.
