these series both have a very macabre tone and setting. Rampant violence is frequent, and disturbing sexual content is present at times. If you enjoyed Mirai Nikki's exploration into human nature, and especially the mystery of each character's pasts, Elfen Lied is undoubtably up your alley.

They both are revolved around a psychotic female role, followed by a male role who is trying to help them.

-Both are: Horror type,have a pink hair main girl that are a murder,have a helpless boy,have a beautiful art and there tell about a type of love. -Elfen lied: there is a main girl with four invisible hands that it like killing machines,there is a boy who in very friendly with girls,the story is very good and there is a little of Harem. -Mirai Nikki: It tells about twelve peoples fighting to be the god of a world,the main girl is a crazy murder of ~16 years,I really like this anime because...discover yourselves this anime. And in my opinion both need to be 9/10

Both of the shows are yandere concept and both of them have pretty amazing plot both of them are totally messing with your sexuallity and you cant understand a thing both of them are making you hate certain character and the next scene can make you love her again until you understand you must hate her but then she is SUGOI KAWAII and you must love that shit after all both of the shows are huge mainstreams and both of them are amazing and a must watch

They are similar because they both are very gory anime's. Also, the both of the guys have yandere girls with pink hair that have a crush on them.

They're both great studies on human nature, psychology and philosophy. They're the kind of anime that make you question the very idea of sanity and of what is right or wrong.

Similar story taste and style, Elfen Lied contains slightly more gore but not in a bad way. Will help with cravings for murderous pink-haired girls and foolish male protagonists/love interests. Less focus on romance but more on family-related emotions.

Shows are both seinen meaning they are intended for a slightly older audience (roughly 17-25 years if I'm not mistaken). In addition to the fact that they both have a darker and more gritty atmosphere, complete with heavy gore, they both have heavy moral dilemmas and intense psychological aspects.

Obviously we couldn't miss on seeing the double-sided personality of the protagonists of both the anime, although elfen lied is a bit more concentrated and less repetitive, mirai nikki remains the best one among them.

Basically: "Mirai Nikki" = "Elfen Lied" - Loli + Yandere Both anime share a pink-haired crazy girl with a desire to be loved and killer instincts as their protagonist, so if you liked one of them, you'll surely like the other. Even though both series weren't shy to show nude women, "Elfen Lied" had a bit to many loli scenes in my opinion, most of them felt unneccessary.
