User Recommendations for Welcome to the N.H.K.

NHK is better. It doesn’t jump around the mental health bush but it puts things into perspective a bit better for the MC and some other characters as well. The character relationships are fairly identical to those found in Sing Yesterday for Me, but they’re developed much more throughout the 2 cours it was given. It’s also a bit faster paced and probably won’t cause you to fall asleep.

Anyone that loves welcome to the NHK would certainly love this show. Welcome to the nhk being my favorite show, yesterday wo uttate is basically a modern and more "calm" and "less intense" as the NHK. I myself have been trying to find a show similiar to the level of welcome to the NHK and this show is on the right track

Both series follow protagonists who have yet to find out who they really are or where they really want to go in life. As the series goes on, both protagonists continue to grow due to the new friendships/relationships they obtain, finally discovering what they truly wanted in life all along. Both are slice of life/romance series. If you remove the otaku/neet element of NHK ni Youkoso it would look like Yesterday wo Utatte.

Both shows have similar characters but also have a love triangle going on. The main character in both shows is a bum in society but is helped by the people around him. Also, both shows are great to watch.
