They're both drama fantasy anime that follows the journey of beings with extended lifespans, They both have a similar calming, chill atmosphere and both explore the theme of the time we spent with people and the memories we made.

Both are amazing fantasy shows with an immortal being as the protagonist. In both shows, the protagonists are journeying to explore and experience human emotions. Both explores the idea of life and death. Both explores the meaning of the journey we call life. In both shows, the protagonists treasure the memories they made along the journey.

In both animes, the main characters live a very long life. There are a few fighting scenes in between, which makes things thrilling. I found the art work similar. Even the sentiments and emotions were similar. Overall, both of the shows gave me a sense of calmness.

Both series tackle the importance of time, what it means to be human and how our lives can be cut short. The self identity of an individual evolves over time to reflect how one's nature may change.

Both of the main characters learn how to be more human by interacting with others in a journey through time.

In both animes we follow the life of an immortal protaganiste learning to deal wwith their own emotions and the emotions felt by others. The immmortality of the MC is a great pretext to dive into the realm of perspectives and what it means to be human wih its ups and down. Although both animes arehave generally a feel good vibe, they wont shy away from more sad and depressive plot elements.

Both made me cry in the first episode, that talks a lot about how powerful this is and how quickly you get to care about the characters in such a short amount of time.

K

Both have powerful but emotionally stunted immortal MCs who slowly try to gain an understanding of human emotions via emotionally charged events that occur over multiple generations. Fumetsu no Anata e is sadder.

similar atmosphere and setting, fumetsu offers a better character study (thru reincarnation IMHO), but both stories share similarities in their narrative

Both anime are about two protagonists who live a very long time and watch time pass and their friends die. The anime shows how the characters deal with death and how they remember their companions and friends. Both characters go on journeys and try to understand the world and the people around them.
