Both have a similar style of storytelling. Each episode is made up of often unrelated, shorter stories and both are slice of life comedies with similar humour.
Similar episodic format with repeated gags. Gokushufudou had me CACKLING, it's so funny. Slightly odd animation, but you will quickly become used to it.
