My personal criteria goes as such: brush and easy to anger girl protagonist, check. Majorly female main cast, check. Loads of nasty examples of human character which anger me to no end but also that for me is like a chili curry for a spicy food lover. Check. And the absurd chaos of whatever is going on that somehow fits very logically into the overall premise. Check. In fact, and this is just my experience so don't @ me, watching this reminds me of 2013 and watching Kill la Kill, but without Trigger's insane animation and without the, uh, sheer nakedness of it all. Although thereis at least one character with a huge bouncy chest and a thong that's holding on a prayer, if that's something you can't live without in your anime. "What is left then" - well, the combination of a determined angry yelling girl protag, the starting plot structure of "a bunch of overpowered enemies whose games you have to play if you want to achieve your goal but be warned the rules are WHACK" and the frequent "yes, and" the plot seems to play with itself.

Animation is completely fine by me - it may not be an action-y masterpiece, but it gets the job done. The occasional 3D CGI wasn't too offensive to me either, most of it fits well contextually. The acid brightness of colors adds to the chaos, I dig the exaggerated facial expressions a lot and the general designs of characters are very pleasant to my eye, somewhat unconventional proportions included. The only thing that kinda pulls me out of it sometimes are the squished side profiles. Weird choice of style on that part.

Voice acting is stellar. The writing so far is fast-paced, but not overly so. They have time to shoe in flashbacks to flesh out even episodic characters, so they're doing fine in my book. It also feels like the plot is still gearing up to go full throttle, which is about time considering there's only 12 episodes.

Excited to see where this goes next, may have found my personal anime of the season. Leaving it at 7 for now, 'cause I reserve the highest scores for animes that really shook me, but I will say this has potential to rise higher considering the topics that are getting introduced.
