Turn to Me, Mukai · review
Another great manga series by Youko Nemu. The premise involves a Mukai, a man nearing middle-age, who is traumatized after an awkward break-up that left him second guessing what it means to get married and what it means to have someone to be his lifelong partner. The manga concludes without giving a straight answer to the main question about marriage. And I think it was the right decision to leave it open-ended. More importantly, we see a ton of character development in Mukai as well as the heroine, Sakaido. We also see a lot of different points of view from other supportingcharacters who are already married, are in a relationship, or are single.
I thoroughly enjoyed the pacing, the visuals, and a lot of the symbolism that was sprinkled throughout. I can't wait to see what Nemu will bring next.
