Not sure why the low rating when it's literally an anime about how to recognize and get rid of your toxicity. Hananoi-kun is just a tool for us to understand and face anything bad we have. He also makes sure to not hurt her, which is the opposite of toxic people. It's Hotaru because of whom he tries to actively change... even admitting that he used to be lame. A wonderful story of a guy overcoming his flaws and a girl who opens her mind to love. Both show patience and improvement but I guess the new generation doesn't like those words.
