Review of Lazarus
Lazarus is a fun anime to watch, it has good music, fun action, and fun characters. The plot is interesting and unique as well. Those aspects help hook the viewer to keep watching to see where the story leads us. The unfortunately part is how much is squeezed into 13 episodes. All of it for an anticlimactic finale and added events that had no effect on the outcome of the story and no follow up. There really is no moral of the story either, even though it seems the anime wants you to tacitly think about different immorality within the story. Maybe it doesn't needone? There was also no character development which is a shame since the anime gives each character time to explore part of their backstory. Each character is the same by the end.
Lazarus has some major strengths, which makes it entertaining to the very end, even though a lot of things don't make sense within the story. The story was well put together in a lot of aspects despite certain decisions not making sense though, which is more than can be said for a lot of anime. It's just that the plot twists are that exciting, it is not thought provoking, there is no growth throughout the story from the characters and little depth, and too much fluff is added to an already short anime that has little substance in the story. Won't be that memorable of an anime in the grand scheme of things but a least a short little watch if you're bored enough.
