Review of Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead
In short: If you want a chill anime, this is for you! It’s fun, well-animated, and the story is actually kinda interesting. If you want something more serious, well, this isn't it. Intro: This anime is dumb. But in a good way! Sometimes you just need to watch something without overthinking every scenario. Sure, you’ll notice that it’s maybe a bit too simple at times, but just watch and enjoy the show. Art: 8 It is really well animated! I don't know too much about the studio (Bug Films), but they did a great job here! Overall, the characters are really well drawn, and the girls look greattoo.
Story: 5
Without giving any spoilers: the MC is an overworked employee at a "black company" in Japan. He gets really depressed until the zombies come and... well, solve his problems? So, he makes a list to "compensate" for all the time he lost working so hard. To be fair, the story has a lot of moral lessons about life, but they drag on a bit too much. Honestly, the slow parts were a little annoying to watch at normal speed, so I watched them at 3x speed. It is not an anime that you watch for the plot, but because it’s fun. So maybe the story is this anime's weak point?
Sound: 7
I'm no sound expert by any means. My opinion is just based on whether anything sounded off, or if there was anything memorable (like great music or a great dub). It's good, but not awesome.
Characters: 8
The characters are simple, but that works for this kind of anime. They aren't shallow, but they aren't that deep either. The MC is fun and lighthearted (and kinda annoying sometimes), but it is what it is. Of course, there are a lot of "cute girls" around the MC and some fan service is included. I don't like fan service that much, but it wasn't annoying here.
Enjoyment: 7
It is a good anime. You don't need to think too much to watch it; you just need to turn off your brain and accept the jokes and scenarios they created.
Overall: 7 (Good)
Nothing much to add here, but if you want something to turn off your brain and enjoy, go for it! Just don't expect too much from it.
