ZENONZARD THE ANIMATION · review

This is gonna be a short review, and I'll just keep it condensed. This short 9-episode OVA that has episodes come out every end of the month (from January to October, minus April) in the fable year of 2020 is nothing more but promotional material for the Zenonzard AI card game that's popular in Japan. What this OVA entails are some of the many characters of their aptly-named Codeman pseudonyms, whom in these 9 episodes have shown, is more like an introduction to their characters and personalities that while may not have been derived from the actual game, the original script for them feels fine and nothingto rave about.

Contracting 8-bit to do this short OVA feels pretty good with consistent visuals, that's about it when it comes to visuals.

If there is one good thing about this short OVA, is the OST of a bopping OP and its many episodic EDs pertaining to the character of the month. Honestly, the best aspect for me.

Thankfully, Bandai Namco has since then released this game globally, so if this OVA has aroused your interest, it is now available for both Android and iOS to download to try for yourself.
