Review of Hortensia SAGA

As someone who has no understanding of its adaptation, Hortensia Saga was an incredible anime from its start. The animation reminded me of Mushoku Tensei, and its character had an incredible backstory. Everything seems well woven together, however, what made it felt incredibly difficult to explain was that why it felt bad/incomplete. Firstly, I think that Hortensia Saga could have been a much better anime if the story wasn't as straightforward and tried to squeeze as much content as possible in 12 episodes. The pacing of the anime felt rushed and it feels much faster-paced than most of the anime coming out this season. Secondly,I think that the ending should have been done in a way that leaves a viewer with a pleasant ending, however, the story ends in a way that it leaves a bad taste with no way to repair the damage done. Despite killing off characters, and trying to be edgy the anime goes out of its way so that they can kill the main characters in the anime. Honestly, if it wasn't for such a weird pacing and terrible ending I would have given a much higher score since I love such anime genre. However, this is truly one anime that deserves its low score.
