Gotta give it a good score just for telling a proper story. Nothing spectacular or amazing, just delivered the story they wanted to tell. Although, to be frank, it kinda left me wanting. They introduced lots of interesting side-characters that could've had their own arcs, but instead played a support role for the not-so-rootable protagonist. Not to say he's a bad character. It's just that the other characters seem to have struggled more and had a lot more at stake than him. His journey with art also didn't feel so... special. At first it felt like he's gonna have his own style. An Art that will definehim as an Artist. But it ended up with him just, making good art like any other artists does. That's it. It's almost like the story focused on a talented average person than a struggling protagonist.
But regardless, It was still a properly told story that got me quite invested so, I'll have to give credit for that.

The STORY is about pursuing art, or just passion and dream in general. It's gonna be focusing on Yatora, his journey into the art world, and his goal to make it into the Tokyo University of the Arts.
But instead of his growth as an artist, the most interesting part of the story is learning the struggles of people who pursues a career in Art. From people who lacks financial support, to people who has a family name to live up to, and people who can easily make good art but have to adjust depending on univesities' standards.

There's lots of characters but most of them will only be supporting characters to give Yatora some inspiration, motivation, or show the dark sides of pursuing a career in Art.
Ryuuji and Kuwana could've had an arc of their own but alas, they only had 12 episodes. Hasida was... just weird. It's like he has some kind of Art Fetish.
Yotasuke, who played the role of Yatora's rival didn't really have to do much but effectively became a mirror that reflects Yatora's insecurities as a new artist who lacks confidence in his own talent.
There's also Oba, the Art instructor, who will help Yatora realize a lot of things when it comes to making art. And Mori, Yatora's Art Club senior, whose painting inspired him to pursue Art in the first place, and will act as Yatora's character motivation. But in my opinion, they failed with that. Everytime she'll be mentioned in the story, I realize that I forgot about her. Even her appearance in the last episode didn't feel quite special.

I'm satisfied with the ART. Although, there are times when the movement animations felt like those ones they use on cheap H-Anime nowadays. Like the one from "Way of HouseHusband". And there's also that one scene with a sea that felt very out of place. But the character designs are so good. And the backgrounds was pretty quality as well.
OST is pretty good as well; OP, ED, BGMs alike. But I'm more of a fan of the ED.

Overall, while the ending was a bit unsatisfying, and the whole story left me wanting, I was still treated to a good proper story. Not sure about enjoyment, but can definitely say it didn't waste my time.
