I almost gave this one up during the first episode, but I am glad I stuck with it. The first episode didn't have the charm of the subsequent episodes, so just keep in mind that it quickly gets better. It had some funny moments, and I have to say that I enjoyed the story overall. I found that I could relate to the male protagonist, though the internal dialogue was far too mature for someone of that age. Honestly, I say give this one a try if you like a calm, story-driven anime that has its humorous and poignant moments.
