Review of Days with My Stepsister
Gimai Seikatsu was a meaningful experience for me. I first read the novel, and although it is mainly a romance with slice of life elements, I learned many things from Ayase Saki. Her background, shaped by hard work and her determination not to burden anyone, felt very relatable to me. That mindset of enduring things alone, even when no one fully understands you, is something I connected with deeply. One thing worth mentioning is that the novel is rich with side stories about their friends, which add depth to the world and characters. Unfortunately, the anime lacks many of these moments. Even so, I was stillable to enjoy the anime and appreciate its main focus.
As for the ending, I cannot say I liked it very much. However, the message of the story itself is simple, sincere, and meaningful, and that is what stayed with me the most.
