This story was brilliant and fantastical in two words (brilliant in the sense of brilliance). The fantasy-esque animations were amazing, and the soundtrack was absolutely gorgeous. I've rarely found anime's that can pair sound, visuals, and stories in a way that 君は彼方 did. The story was much more intense at times than the typical boy meets girl tragedy anime's (no spoilers). Yet still more beautifully inspiring than the "Fantasy hero conquers" Isekai anime's. It was awesome (of awe, not "awesome sick") A beautiful combination of isekai, fantasy, and drama. I see a lot of negative reviews, to which I beg you to throw aside and watch it regardless. I thought Iwouldn't enjoy it given those reviews.
I assumed I'd just watch it anyway and get on with my life after the 95 minutes.
Instead,
I sit here, stained cheeks, writing my only MAL review.
I've seen most of the tearjerker Anime's, but it has been so long since I have found one that moved me this much.

I will honestly keep this as one of my most cherished anime's next to Garden of Words.
