Review of A Whisker Away

I enjoyed this Movie to start with but the Movie is not that good I expected more. But it is a Netflix Movie so what should I expect? The Story is ok I would say it is pretty good after the first Hour the first Hour is a bit boring, but after you finished the Movie you will understand the first hour and you won`t think that it is boring anymore. It isn´t that interesting but still ok. You will get a lot of Ghibli but also Disney vibes it is like the classical animated Films everyone watched as a kid that you can alsoenjoy as an adult.

The Art of the Movie is very good I like the art style but sometimes I got a feeling that the whole money went into the cats and the Humans did´t get so much. It is still a very good artstyle I would say one of the best compared to other anime but it is still not perfect.

I can´t say much about the sound but I liked it because it fits very well. Also i liked the songs that were played maybe I will put them into my playlist.

I really disliked the characters especially Mugen. I don´t like it if characters are so stupid and selfish at the same time. Like she doesn´t care about her parents and makes them sad and then she says to them they are selfish? I was just angry when that happend. I don´t know any japanese people but I think even for them this family is very very broken. Also the boy I understand him but he don´t has to be that harsh. I can´t speak for others but in Germany no one would act and react like these charcters and this unrealistic stupid and selfish characters for the sake of the story just make me angry.

All in all a very enjoyable Movie. If you enjoy Ghibli and the old Disney than go watch it. It is worth it. I really enjoyed the part at the cat tree thing because the return of the cats ( Neko no onegaeshi) is one of my favourit movies I got a really nostalcig feeling and I liked it.

Overall it is good go watch it
