Review of KonoSuba: An Explosion on This Wonderful World!

There's many reasons an anime can be good, the action, the morals, the comedy, and what made Konosuba special was the character dynamics. Those 4 goofballs playing off of each other is what makes Konosuba what it is. And that fact is made all the more clear when you strip 3 of them away and just leave one. Konobaku isn't bad. It's doesn't lack anything fundamental nor is anything out of place. What's wrong with it is that it's just. so. plain. There's nothing that makes it special. The comedy is just "chuuni tribe is chuuni" and the themes are just your average coming ofage story. Konosuba does not thrive off its story, action, or worldbuiilding. It's good because the main 4 are hilarious together, but just annoying when separate, and this anime made it clear. if you want a Megumin documentary, then I guess this is what you're looking for and that's the only thing you'll get
