i feel like they missed an opportunity to connect mako and kyou both of them have trauma and have expressed it / coped with it in different ways . mako has become completely adverse to men , and kyou has become hypersexual ( hypersexuality can be expressed in different ways , and for him it was a compulsion to keep doing sexual things even though he didnt want to / he was bored of it ) . both of them were sexually assaulted in elementary school ( which goes to 6th grade in japan ) and both of them had trauma from that thatshaped their view of different genders

but instead of exploring that in any meaningful way , they brush aside what kyou went through as not traumatic at all ( because it doesnt count / isnt a big deal when it happens to guys . . . ? jeez . . . ) , and mako got lectured about how Not All Men are like that while she was in distress

they really dropped the ball on this one , they fumbled . it could have been handled a lot better , overall . that being said , i did enjoy this manga . i also appreciate that it didnt end with kyou ~converting~ the ~lezzie~ mako and ending up with her . as of right now she's still only interested in girls , and instead of ending in a kiss with his crush , kyou sighs as he watches her check out another lady lol

its also an older manga so i'll give it some " times were different " grace there . actually the art style kinda makes it feel older than it is lol !! still , its from the 2000s , and still , i like that older art style :o)

was torn between giving this a ' mixed feelings ' or a ' recommended ' , and in the end i decided to go with the former . but i did enjoy this and if you can look past those things above / keep them in mind , i think you could too :o)
