Review of Sword Art Online

Sword Art Online, one of the most controversial series in anime history. if you haven't already heard hundreds of people’s ideas of this series, here's another. With good characters and a fair story, this series brought the popularity of the Isekai genre to the mainstream anime scene. Story - 6 I really enjoyed the idea of a stuck in game scenario, the series does a good job of bring the reactions of players to light, but the story takes a massive dip in quality after episode 14. After episode 14 the story takes an odd turn that feels uncomfortable at times, but had an overall enjoyable ending. Art- 8
I find the fight scene's and beautiful scenery to be amazing, I enjoyed the fluidity of the fight scene's. some of the fights can be slow, but this is to build emphases of characters or story.

Sound - 7
The OP and ED was good, the OP is catchy. the background music is relaxing and brings emphasis to different story plots.

Character - 7
I really enjoy the characters, the characters have good character arks that allow growth across the list.
Kirito is a bland, over powered and kind of boring character, but he flourishes in character interaction. Scene’s where he has fun with his friends are enjoyable and comfortable.
Asuna is a normal tsundere character that quickly becomes a fan favourite. She builds over time and the interactions between her and Kirito are amazing and they make an amazing couple.
The villain is quite a twist for a first viewer, but is quite bland being the same as every villain.
The secondary characters are good and interact with each other quite well. Each characters ark feels complete and help each other well.

Overall - 7
I enjoy it alot, but i admit it's problems. it may have a strong story in the fist 14 episodes, but the rest is very poor. the characters are kind of bland, but what's special is their interactions. I would recommend people to the first 14 episodes with a skim over the rest of the episodes.
