Review of Land of the Lustrous
I greatly, greatly, greatly, greatly, greatly, greatly, greatly, greatly, greatly, greatly, greatly, greatly, greatly, greatly, greatly, greatly, underestimated it. The story is something alongside AoT or something like that, yet it's completely different. Original stories such as this needs a hats off, you don't find such things everywhere. The sounds are (OMFG) good and the voice actors, mostly Phos', she is E P I C, she makes her live basically, just like how Shalltear said in Overlord ep (who df knows), she makes her become alive. Art... Crap... it's really good, I always hated CG animation yet, it was outstanding, it's always lively and the characters are justbeauties of art (and beauties amongst women). The scenes are always detailed to every nook and cranny, basically epic.
The characters... from original stereotype to original originality, the diversity just makes a great combo, and from what I've started to seen in the manga and in the anime... the counts adds up, 28 in total, I though there were more than 28 people as said in the story but I think it checks in good, to have 28 original characters +1 if you count sensei fit in this and still keep up with the goodness, is a really hard job, well freaking done. And as I said, the art is really fucking good on each of them. They all fit their role nicely and the main character's development went totally unexpected but I guess it adds good Venezuelan spice to the Japanese curry (do you even put spice in curry? dunno, im no japanese)
Basically, all and all, it's a honest-to-goodness masterpiece for me, I though I'd hate it since it was CG, but heck no, I loved it. My eyes even started to leak out at a certain episode. Well, tbh I don't really wanna read the manga cos I'm waiting for another masterpiece such as this to have a season 2 but I also wanna read cos the manga is also good and I really wanna know the rest... AH SHIT.
Well, I can confirm on my side this is good. Now.. where's season 2?
