Review of Parasyte: The Maxim

Man good ol' Parasyte was going to give this anime a 9.5-10 until the last 2-3 episodes just ruined it for me, plus with some lackluster side characters and repetition of certain odd-fitting music at times brings it down to an 8. Izumi and Migi make a great team no doubt about it though! Story: I don't really want to ruin the plot that much, but Izumi gets infected by a parasyte, but Migi failed to control the brain, so he's stuck with Izumi and now has to balance between being a human and a parasyte. He's only in between, and feels as a total outcastto both human and parasyte, best way to describe this feeling is those children who were born of white and black parents back in the day(they were shunned by both races).

Anyway, the story is a pretty good one, not too many flaws, however, there's one really stupid plot twist at the very end, with Uragami, Izumi, and Satomi...... that's not how you end an anime imo!!!! Really stupid, like why would you leave Satomi behind when Uragami is a know serial-rapist-killer........ that was just stupid....

Art: Love the artwork, very nice feel to it and the fight scenes are amazing!

Sound: The voice acting is pretty well done, they nailed down Migi's voice pretty well too! My critique is some of the music is very unfitting at times though.

Character: Probably the weakest part of this anime. Lets see most of the female cast is just garbage.... except for Tamiya Reiko, she gets really great character development in this one. The love relationship with Izumi and Satomi just didn't do it for me. I didn't really care for them, and Kana was annoying at times. A weak female cast of characters does ruin the score of this anime...

Overall, pass all those negatives this is still a really good anime!
