Review of Durarara!!

Durarara!! is overall a very good series. It was one of the very animes I managed to get into in the very first episode. Story: I like the story a lot. Each episode is from a different character's viewpoint and tells a different tale from the last. The story mainly focuses on 3 average high school students and as you get farther into the show, you begin to see they aren't as average as you thought. They meet several characters along the way that either help them, fight against them, or are completely neutral. There were a lot of points in the story that youdidn't expect. The story deserves a 9/10 from me.

Att: The art is very unique and not like things you see in any other anime. Every background character is drawn as a gray, lifeless character, which in my opinion was a cool detail. The city itself was drawn beautifully, and all the main characters varied in design from one another. One of the characters spews dark matter from her neck, and that as well was drawn gorgeously, and did't use the same "flicker" pattern you see in most shows. 9/10

Sound: There is not a whole lot to say here, but the openings and endings were awesome as hell. My only complaint is the BGM's all sounded very similar and were too loud and sometimes sounded out the characters voices. 8/10

Character: All characters were very unique and had hidden pasts about themselves which was great development. The three high school students seem to be the same at the beginning, but eventually grow very far apart in terms of personality and characterization. The rest of the characters are all unique and great. 10/10

Enjoyment: The story was slow at some points and was a bit repetitive as well, but the last 6 or 7 episodes were really great and kept me interested at the very end. Because of the slowness on a few episodes, I give it a 9/10

Overall: 9/10

I recommend this anime to everyone as it is very good, except for the minor problems that I mentioned above. Thanks for reading my review of Durarara!! ^-^
