Review of Anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day

This anime tells about friendship. where they were always together when they were little, then when they were teenagers separated because of an incident that resulted in one of their friends, Menma, died. they blame each other. but suddenly, the dead Menma came to Jintan, but in the form of a 'haunted ghost'. instead of having bad intentions, Menma's ghost wants to unite all his friends in childhood as before. Jintan who thought the ghost was his hallucination began to realize that it was indeed his existence. but strangely only Jintan can see Menma's ghost. his friends who began to realize that Menma's ghost wasfinally reunited to fulfill Menma's wish before he died.

The story between these friends is really touching, where drama, life, personal problems become one entity. many scenes that make the audience sad, and the peak is in the last episode. this anime made my tears come out. the friendship theme in this anime is truly extraordinary. they all reunited as they were when they were little, just for the sake of Menma.

for graphics and animation, everything is good. Even though this is an old release, this anime is still worth watching this year and the next, because of the excellent graphics. the opening and ending songs are also very fitting, especially the end of the episode, where the anime scene is still running, then the ending song is inserted so that it reaches the end.
