Review of Neon Genesis Evangelion

What should i say? Well this anime made me die inside at least twice. The characters are all lovable and hatable at the same time. They have their own quirks and are far from perfect. This imperfection made it easy for me to get attached to them. The english dub is rather questionable and inconsistent at points. Also the voice actor who plays a "german" character seemingly did not really know german very well (which is not too bad, but can be quite hilarious if you actually understand german) In my 2nd rewatch I found several small typos on things shown on signs or computerscreens. The animation is very good and the visual design (especially the perspective) is very well made. It was very fun to watch the first three quarters of the anime. It has good action. The opening theme is awesome and quite iconic. I would not want to watch it another time because the story really put me through a rollercoaster of emotions that I don't really want to experience a 4th time. It can be very intense at points with lots of action and fun, but it also has very tense parts that will make you sweat.
