(No spoilers) Black Lagoon a action packed ride which is really stylish and enjoyable. For the story: I didn't expect much detailed story telling from a action anime, but somethings bother me, like the very first episodes in which one of the main characters becomes part of the group of mercenaries, I feel that it felt really aloof the way it was executed, didn't feel really like a choice someone would've made easily without no possible thinking, aside from this bad execution for a introduction, the show has some really nice friendly moments, some good tropes too, the aesthetic fits in totally with the theme and it'sreally overall crazy exaggerated world building it manages to do in so.

For the art direction:
I have no complaints towards the visual aspects, for a 2006 anime it has charm, the animations are swift, detailed guns and explosions, the character design is also really good.
The only flaw I have is with the soundtrack and audio ambiance, only the first firefights had some techno tracks to them, which sound pretty generic 2000's and didn't match the exciting firefights, some scenes also lack any overall background ost and it makes some scenes feel rather empty and void.

Overall:
I enjoyed it, I plan on watching 2nd season soon, it's not something extraordinary but I found it unique mainly at the execution of the firefights, if you like action packed adventures, then you'll probably enjoy this.
