Review of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Entertainment District Arc

This is peak shonen ladies and gents. I always thought that demon slayer season 1 was overrated, and I still do, Zenitsu and Inosuke are irritating and Tanjiro is a pretty generic shonen protagonist- "force of good/ Mr. Tell-No-Lie", and Nezuko can't say anything, but she's cute anime girl. Basically meh characters but damn it has some really awesome art, all the character designs are really strong (especially butterfly girl bro plz step on me) and animation top tier. 5/10 theme song tho. The movie (mugen train) was dope tho, getting to see a Hashira in action the entire movie was cool, and I was impressedthe whole 2 hours of the film takes place on a train.

There are my reviews of everything demon slayer until now. Demon Slayer season 2 (or post movie season I guess) is actually not overrated however, this is a certified hood classic.

I am a fan of this new progression of the main gang getting assigned with a Hashira, finding upper rank demon, big fight scene, rinse and repeat. I think it really plays to the series' strengths; don't just glaze over these badass characters you showed us in season 1 (The Hashira) show me why they're the top dawgs. Honestly they could do this for the rest of the show's run time and I'd be satisfied.

The entertainment district was a pretty classic anime setting but it was still very pretty. Zenitsu and Inosuke are alot more tolerable this time around, I still don't think they're anything incredible but they are entertaining enough. Zenitsu actually grows some balls this season, I hope they keep developing him like this, I get that being all scaredy is part of his character development but in season 1 it was a bit much.

Once things really begin to get started this season takes off, I'm talking just absolute nuts-to-butts action bruv. Like legit from episode 7 onwards is some of the most hype anime I've ever seen, and I like how everyone plays a role this time; Inosuke, Zenitsu, and Nezuko all show out this season, you can really see the development from season 1 when they were getting stomped. It really cannot be emphasized enough how much eye candy this season of demon slayer provides, like you can really tell this is one of the biggest anime out right now because the animation is LEAGUES above the rest of the industry. It feels like it had the budget of the movie despite being significantly longer, and I hope they collected a disgusting, just absolutely sickening amount of bread off this. I'm not gonna spoil it but once you see Tanjiro's moment this season you'll agree with me.

The sound Hashira who's name I've forgotten is badass, and his shinobi origins feels fitting for his character. The main demon this season is also dope, it really feels like the demon slayers are stepping into her domain.

There is still some "huh?" moments though, Inosuke avoiding poison because he grew up on the mountains and "rearranging his organs is light-work" has gotta be some of the most questionable writing ever, but things are so hype and face-paced at this point you really just roll with it anyways.

Season 2 gives everyone what they came for plus more, and I am very excited for the next season.

8/10 theme song this time around too very catchy and some pretty visuals too.
