Review of Kaguya-sama: Love is War -Ultra Romantic-
The growth of characters on the whole and dealing with other things than love are even more focused. Romantically, it helped show that it doesn't always hurt to express how you feel and to have faith in it, but it did get carried on a bit too long with our protagonists, I think. You can get to the point of both characters saying they were going to do whatever for 5 episodes then not just finally wore me out. I get dragging it as far as possible but it was just a little too far for my liking. This being said, all in all, mydesire for a show not to have a completely happy ending all the time or any sign of what might have happened after their confessions honestly allowed me to have a bad taste in my mouth - but I'm ok with it because it's real to not have someone else's expectation. I do wish I could have seen a bit more about what happened with some of the minor characters post-show though, specifically Hayasaka (that girl deserves better!!!) and Ino, for some reason. I do want to know, but that's why and where my ability to use my imagination comes in - and for fanfics of those that want to share them.
