Shiro, the Giant, and the Castle of Ice is an extremely short OVA following Shirou and Tokiya who are transformed into giants via stones gifted to them by their grandfather, Matsujii. Shiro is able to use the fire power of Goron to save Tokiya from the ice giant. The show is only about six minutes in total so there is not all too much to say about it. The song in the final episode is good as are the backgrounds and emotions in the voice actors. There isn’t all too much wrong with this show if it was to be used as a pilot. None of thecharacters are given a backstory and the viewer has no time to familiarize themselves with who they are. The backgrounds also don’t at all match the lighting on the characters which, with the exception of the giants, details and shadows are essentially non existent. As for background music, apart from the final episodes, there pretty much is none and the whole show is over before it even fully begins.
It’s definitely worth a watch as it is only about six minutes in length and is very fluid in animation and well put together, even if there are more words in this review than the entire script of the show.
